The Chop
We take the tomahawk chop pretty seriously around here. Whether we're in our living room or at Turner Field.

Fun for free
I'm all about planning fun day trips and weekend activities. I love finding good deals on events, new places or adventures that I think Benton would enjoy. We will never stop going to Braves games or the zoo every once in awhile, but no matter how much effort I put into planning something great, it never fails that Benton has the most fun playing with an empty box or running in the driveway. Here are a few of the fun (and free!) activities Benton has enjoyed lately.
Riding his bike in the park
Splashing in the mud in his "raining boots"
Visiting Dad at work for Field Day with Granny CC and Aunt Sunny
Rocking out with an inflatable guitar
Helping wash the car
Now that school's out for the summer (yay!), we have many days of creative fun ahead. And we'll still throw in the occasional "paid" activity too because I can't help myself.

Birthday Boy
On April 7, my sweet baby boy turned 2. We had our families come celebrate with us and of course Benton loved being the center of everyone's attention. We ate some good food, sang "Happy Birthday," ate some more and then watched Benton open presents and hunt some eggs all by himself. He didn't seem to mind. (Thanks to Uncle Jess and Cousin Kara for hiding the eggs.) It was a fun day! Thanks to our family for coming out.
Always fun to see Uncle Zach!
The bounty
Here's a video synopsis of Benton's day. It's long so I don't blame you if you don't watch it and you're not one of Benton's grandparents.
