Rotting our brains

While we don't promote Benton spending lots of time in front of the TV there are a few things that he really seems to enjoy.

He loves Conan and is fascinated by the monologue. Don't worry we don't keep him up that late. Thank you TiVo.

We also watch a lot of ESPN. He has a favorite commercial. Each time it comes one he starts clapping and bouncing to the beat (don't act like you can resist). Tonight he was in another room and when he heard the commercial he started dancing. I took him into the living room and caught the magic on tape. The best part is how he immediately stops once it is over. Enjoy...

Islands in the stream

A few weeks ago, Benton and I got to join Brack on a trip to Jekyll Island for a PE conference. While Brack was learning how to square dance and jump rope, me and Benton did some exploring.
.
We got to visit the Weavers who showed us around St. Simons Island. A pretty beautiful place to catch up with friends.
Collin and Layne
Morgan
 Evan and Cameron

Benton appreciated the beach a little more this time than his first visit to the ocean. Walking barefoot on the sand in January. Not a bad deal.
Our last stop was Driftwood Beach. I've never seen anything like it. Wish we had more time to climb around!
On our way home, our little Honda hit 100,000 miles. We've seen a lot of places in the last 5 years!

Is this love?

Benton had a fun weekend. He got to spend the night with his Grandmother. On Saturday his Great Grandmother and Great Aunt came to visit too. Unfortunately they brought Benton a new shirt. He pretended to like it...

He also got to use the high chair that myself and sister grew up using. Quite a few miles on this thing.

Benton also had his first life changing experience. He met cornbread. I believe this video accompanied by Whitesnake pretty much sums it up.
